The friendly folk at KEX call themselves a social hostel. Although this will surely be easily misunderstood. KEX borrowed its name from the previous owners of the building, the biscuit factory (biscuit meaning kex in Icelandic) and supports the global trend of combining organic with attention for detail in a setting of vintage and industrial finds. No need to spend the night in a bunk-bed though, there are also single and double rooms. But time can be spend here without a sleepover as well. Since its opening the place in the downtown 101 area has been host to many musicians and also provides a platform for talent.
Do not forget to visit NYLO, the living art museum next door.
