First major exhibition of design duo Scholten & Baijings
1 May – 28 August the Stedelijk Museum 's Hertogenbosch will unveil the first major exhibition of design duo Scholten & Baijings.
Their unique usage and feeling for color will be at the midst of this presentation.
An exhibition by this husband & wife design duo designed by themselves can only be a true treat for the eye I am guessing.
The exhibition focuses on Scholten & Baijings' personal process and working method through four themes.
The color insights are what I admire them most for, but they combine so amazingly well with their contemporary view on craftsmenship and
minimalism with a small pinch of folklorism.
In Milan they will show a new colour stool for Karimoku New Standard, which also looks like a perfect mariage of blended simply toned colors and a
geometric patern.
At the same time the series for Danish Hay, duvet covers, tea towels and rugs have been an instant succes.
Now I only have to schedule a visit to the Stedelijk Museum Den Bosch
